Welcome to the Midwest Region of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). As illustrated by the Divisions page, the Region includes parts of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Wisconsin. The purposes of the Region are to promote, stimulate, foster, and encourage by all manner and means the art and craft of model railroading and the preservation of the hobby's history, science, and technology. The Region accomplishes its purposes through its Divisions, publishing the Waybill (a quarterly newsletter), holding Conventions and by promoting the NMRA Achievement Program. See the Division web pages for detailed activities in your local area. Meetings of NMRA members residing in the Region are normally held in conjunction with the annual convention. Between these meetings, a Board of Directors governs and administers the Region. The Board consists of five Officers, seven Directors-at-Large and eleven Division Directors. A Division Director is elected or appointed by each Division. The President, Vice President and Directors-at Large are elected by all Region members. For information about the next election, click here. The Region's organizational documents (Constitution, Bylaws and Policies & Procedures) and minutes of recent meetings are available from the Secretary's Page. News & Events
The NMRA modernizes its brand & logo -- and renames the national publication. Check out the new NMRA logo recently adopted at the national convention in Milwaukee. The logo change is in concert with a brand change from, The National Model Railroad Association, to simply NMRA. Additionally, Scale Rails will be renamed as the NMRA Magazine.
Model Railroading is FUN!!
