The All American Railroad Show

What to Expect at the Show.

You will see up to 30 groups showing off their work and model railroads in many scales. We will also feature several railroad historical societies.

Door Prize Giveaways will occur throughout the show -- with a Grand Prize of a N-scale layout given to one lucky winner.

Hot dogs, chips, cookies, popcorn, soda, water and donut holes will be available on site.

The show is held at the Lyons Township High School campus at 100 S. Brainard Ave. in LaGrange, IL.

Admission is $5 (cash only) -- ages 4 and under may attend for free.

History of the Show

The first All-American Railroad Show ran in 1981 as a partnership between the DuPage Division of the National Model Railroad Association and the model railroad club at Lyons Township High School. The show is a fundraising opportunity for both the DuPage Division and the club.

As the show proved successful, it continued to evolve and grow each year. Early on there were model railroads, railroad historical societies and a large group circus modeling enthusiast. These days, our show averages around 30+ groups showing off their work of model railroads in many scales and several railroad historical societies.

Attendance has grown to 2,000 visitors during it’s one day run - and continues to be a success for all involved. This enduring partnership remains an important fund-raising activity for the DuPage Division of the NMRA and Lyons Township High School.
